I was reading the article and found one of the update/response that "the date of the first visa issue should be used." does it mean the valid from date shown on my wife's and daughter's passports is the date I need to count 5 years from that date? If so she has 18-Aug-2020 that means she will be eligible for ILR by 17-Aug-2025, right?

If that's the case then shall I submit my wife's and daughter's application now today and get the next available biometric date as that will be still under 28 days of eligibility, right?

This is how it works

1. You will assume a date of ILR decision (this can be the date of your biometrics if applying for priority service)
2. You then subtract (5 years - 28 days) from that date. So counting backwards
3. This new date should be on or after the date of first visa approval.

In your case, they are already eligible for ILR. So apply now

Good morning, hope you are doing well!

My wife and daughter given the biometrics on 13-Aug-2025 for premium service (response in 5 days) but still now we have not got any updates or email from Home Office.

Is there anything to worry or is it normal for such delays?

Priority service has no guarantees. Some applications cannot be decided in the given timeframe

Dear Mods,

I am in a tricky situation now, my wife and daughter submitted their biometrics on 13-Aug-2025 with their Unique reference numbers for example as xxxx/00 & xxxx/01 respectively.

But we received Biometrics confirmation email for xxxx/00 on the same day and have not received any confirmation on other one xxxx/01.

Last night we received an email from Home Office that says:

Reminder to enrol your Biometric information
When you made your application online, you were advised that you had up to 63 days from the date of your application to make an appointment to enrol your biometric information at a UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services centre (UKVCAS).

You have not yet booked or attended an appointment.

You now have 14 days from the date of this notification in which to book an appointment to enrol your biometric information.
You can do this by returning to your online application and following the instructions to book an appointment at a UKVCAS, or if you have already registered a UKVCAS account you can access this account to book an appointment.

Once you have booked your appointment, please make every effort to attend. If you do not book an appointment and enrol your biometric information and provide the required documents your application may be rejected as invalid.

ok, I just noticed that when I checked their statuses in TLSContact's site my wife's biometrics are all green ticked for
Appointment Confirmed
Appointment Attended
Application is transferred to UK Visas & Immigration.

But when I checked for my daughter's status it showing pending with "Application is transferred to UK Visas & Immigration."

When I contacted TLSContact through online enquiry form, it says to take within 10 days to get back to me.

I am all in tricky situation now, this TLSContact did not do their thing correct and its making me to suffer.

Please help!!

I tried many numbers searched from internet but those numbers are of not in use.

I suggest to contact UKVI and explain the problem. Say that you attend your biometrics

UK Visas and Immigration contact centre
Telephone: 0300 790 6268 - select option 2
Monday to Thursday (excluding bank holidays), 9am to 4:45pm
Friday (excluding bank holidays), 9am to 4:30pm

Just to provide an update that my wife's and daughter's application is still not completed,

today we got an email from TLS Contact as below:

****************************************************************************************************************************
We regret to inform you that your visa application at our UK VCAS Service Point is incomplete due to a technical error in the application procedure. 

We will therefore require you to attend our UK VCAS Service Point again to resubmit your application.

As we need to rescan your passport and recapture your biometric information.

Kindly return to our UK VCAS Service Point within the next 5 working days with your Identity documents and our centre will assist with your resubmission.

Due to their technical issues we are suffering a lot and causing a lot of stress.

Just thought to check if anybody else also facing these issues with the applications with TLS Contact?

Dear Admins,

Thanks for your all help on the suggestions and advices here.

I wanted to share some good news regarding the visa process. Despite the technical issues happened while submitting the biometrics at the TLS Contact, everything has now been successfully resolved.

It was a stressful experience at the time, but thankfully things are finally back on track. We're really relieve and grateful that it all worked out in the end.

Just wanted to keep you updated and share our experiences and positive news:


06-Aug-2025: Date of application submission.
13-Aug-2025: Date of first biometrics submission (not sure if the technical issues with the biometrics are centre related or not but we did our biometrics at Gee Street, Clerkenwell, EC1V 3RD).
09-Oct-2025: Date of first email we received from Home Office saying that we did not enrol for our biometrics.
17-Oct-2025: We got an email from TLS contact support team (after 10 days of our query) asking us to re-submit our daughter's biometrics again as it was not sent to the Home Office at the first time due to some technical issues (Dont know why they come to know this late for nay technical issues).
20-Oct-2025: We re-submitted our daughter's biometrics again after having so many emails to TLS Contact (they take 10 days of time to respond to your emails, so mindful to contact them immediately if you did not get your visa in the specified time mainly for priority services) again at the same centre.
07-Jan-2026: We again got the email this time from TLS contact saying my wife's biometrics did not happen again due to some technical issues.
09-Jan-2026: We went to re-submit my wife's biometrics again at the same TLS Contact centre at Gee Street, Clerkenwell, EC1V 3RD.

27-Jan-2026: Finally, almost 6 months after we submitted the application we got the great news that the application was successful.

I hope the above timelines will be helpful if you face any similar issues.

Also dear admins, I am now need to submit for my son's passport as he already got the naturalization few months ago and now we are planning to submit for his passport. Please could you guide us the proper link for the application form?

I assume you mean your son has already been registered as British ??
