ILR (Set LR) application. English language requirement change

Hello team. Thanks so far for all the support with different queries. It helped me in obtaining my Settled status. I am now in process of applying ILR for my spouse based on 10 year lawful residency. However I came across a news that English requirement has now changed (from 8th Jan 2026) for ILR. However I could not find any confirmation if it has changed for Long residency ILR application as well. I applied for my ILR back in Dec'25 with B1 level English test. Does it now need English level to be at B2 for long residency ILR as well?

Thanks Alterhase58 for directing me to below topic. If I understand correctly, the change in English level is applicable from march 2027. Please confirm. I want to make sure that we take expected level of english test level for ILR (LR) application.
