I am applying to extend my wife’s dependent visa. When I was granted a Skilled Worker visa in May 2023, my wife received a dependent visa valid for three years, aligned with my visa. I later switched to a Global Talent visa in June 2024. At that time, there was no requirement for my wife to switch her visa, as her dependent visa remained valid.
I am now eligible to apply for ILR and plan to submit my ILR application first. I then intend to submit my wife’s dependent visa extension application one or two days later wihtout waiting for my ILR decision, using the Global Talent Dependent Partner route.
In her application, I am planning to request a 3‑year extension and pay the corresponding IHS fees by entering end date of main applicant visa 3 years from now. though, my current Global Talent visa is due to expire mid‑next year. Could you please confirm whether this approach is correct, or if there is anything I should do differently?
When they ask home office reference number of main applicant (i.e my details) do we need to enter my Global talent visa reference number or my recent ILR reference number?
Also, the dependent visa application form is formally asking for only one document, which is my wife’s passport. Could you please advise whether there are any additional documents that I should submit voluntarily to support her application, such as her current eVisa status, marriage certificate, council tax bill, salary slips, or any other supporting evidence?
Thank you for your support.
