Denmark under Directive 2004/38

Post by treetree » Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:41 am

I want to move to Denmark so that I can be with my husband, but this is not possible because I have not lived in an EU country before. he is working in germany, but has family in Denmark. Is it possible that my husband and I move to Sweden for some time and then apply to live in Denmark where he has family, as i would then have previously lived in EU country. How long would I have to go to sweden for? Any help I would appreciate.

I am from Vietnam

Thanks

You do not need to have lived in the EU before. There was recently a ECJ court case that was decided very clearly against the rules that Ireland, the UK and Denmark had in place.

Can you be more specific please.

Have you applied and been refused, and if so what were the dates of the application and decision? Who told you that Denmark still need you to have lived in another EU country, and when? Do you have it in writing?

Have you visited any EU countries with your spouse since you got married, and if so which ones and when?
