Skilled worker extension

Hello Experts:

One of my friend who came on skilled worker visa in December 2024 and his extension is due in January 2027.

I have following questions for him:

1 His COS has been issued on 30 hours per week but once he arrived, as per requirement of the company, his working hours has been changed from 30 hours to 37.5 hours and paid accordingly, but an employer has not intimated the Home office for the increase in hours. Now when an employer assign new COS for the extension, will the employer needs to assign COS for 37.5 hours with updated per hour rate i.e annual salary should be at least 31,300? current he is on 26500 annual salary?

2. If home office allocate the COS and VISA in October 2026, when the employer needs to disburse salary from new salary from: like the date from visa issued or since the New COS assign i.e August 2026?

3. If there is another employee at annual salary of 26500 with same job code but he got visa for 5 years and will apply for the ILR in May 2028, will employer needs to increase his salary as well or he can continue with old salary?
