Spouse Visa Renewal English test question

Hi everyone,

My wife’s spouse visa is due to be renewed in Feb 2027.

She initially took the A1 English test so we have to get an A2 or higher for her renewal.

Since moving to the UK she has passed PTE Academic for her job (Doctor) at a high level.

My question is, can we use this for her renewal?

I have read that the test is exactly the same as the UKIV version but I cannot find an exact answer on whether or not it is accepted, pretty ridiculous if they don't accept it to be honest.

If we have to take another test, we are not going to renew and we are finished with the UK and how it treats legal migrants.We have Australian residency so we will just go there, sick to death of giving this government money to stay in what is a declining country.

Did the PTE Academic test have a URN (Unique reference Number) that you can include in the immigration application?

After the test

After you pass the test, you will be given a SELT unique reference number which you must use when making your application. If you do not include your reference number, your application may be refused.

You will find your SELT unique reference number on your test result as:

‘UER’ for Trinity College London tests
‘UKVI number’ for IELTS SELT Consortium tests
‘Candidate URN’ for LANGUAGECERT tests
‘SELT URN’ for Pearson tests
‘URN’ for PSI Skills for English tests

I can't see a URN on her score report just a score report card numbers. No SELT/URN like her A1 test.
