1. I assume he was born in Afghanistan? In which case, contact the British embassy
2. Apply for a spouse visa for your wife. See the guidlines and Embassy's instructions.
The under-16 year old will also require a visa. Does your wife have sole responsibility of this child?

The adult children...exactly how old are they? What are they doing?

3. Check the UKVisas website.

Registering a birth overseas wrote:If your child is born outside the UK you can register the birth with the nearest consulate or with our consular department in London if you’ve returned to the UK. You don’t have to do this, but if you do your child will be given a British style birth certificate and the birth will be registered at the General Registry Office in the UK.

We recommend consular birth registration because it means you’ll be able to get extra copies of the certificate from the General Registry Office in the future.

I have given you the procedure, if you follow the links. Your wife needs a spouse visa. You would most likely have to send the application to the Consulate in Pakistan, so follow the instructions carefully.

Your wife's adult children...we cannot give any advice on this unless we know how old they are.

I suggest you register your son's birth, obtain the birth certificate and then apply for a British passport (yes he is already a British citizen) - it shouldn't take too long.

Well then they are not adults at all! That changes things. They can also apply for a settlement visa (I do not know much about this area, though). I would advise you to do it very quickly, as once a child hits 18 it becomes a very difficult application to make.

On the other hand, another issue is accommodation and financial provision....do you have sufficient accommodation (I think you would need at least 3 bedrooms) and sufficient income? You would probably need to get a letter from the local authorities to prove that you have sufficient accommodation for your four dependants, yourself and your son.

That's fraudulent, shame on you for thinking it.

zakhan, you need far more space than a one bedroom flat. That might be ok for you, your wife and son, but not for her other children. I think you will need at least three bedrooms.

And if you go down the route of lying, you'll probably get caught and will ruin your chances of obtaining a visa. So honesty is always the right way to go.

Aboard, both passports and birth registrations may be applied for at the same time.
