my question

Post by awaiz_26 » Tue Jan 20, 2009 10:26 pm

hi,
well i did posted my question before but i dont mind writing it down for u
actually i have applied for tier1 general on 18 december i am on a student visa at the moment, before my student visa i was on SEGS(science and graduate scheme) when i was applying i did enquired from HO that which job experience i have to show so they told me that as there is more that 12 months gap in ur full time studies so i have to show the experience of uk, so in this regard i have shown my uk experience from 1 november 2007 to 30 october 2008, in this time i was on two different categories of visas so i have shown my past earnings in a way that 5 months of SEGS and 7 months of student visa altogether it comes upto £21903.67, i have posted my 12 consecutive payslips and as i am on contract with the company so my wage slips dont show my hours per week which is i think good for my student visa.
so my question is that is this ok that my previous earnings include two different category of visas in which 5 months i was allowed full time work and the rest is just 20 hours as per my student visa restrictions .
thanks.

I'm actually surprised with that sort of grammar and poorly written English that you actually made it through university-- but that's neither here nor there. I do think, however, part of the reason that you haven't had many responses is because your query is difficult to read. Punctuation, grammar and capitalization go a long way. I had to read your question 3 times just to understand parts of it, and I was still left with questions:

1. Are you saying that for the 7 months you were on your student visa, you weren't actually enrolled in school or taking classes? (Presumably because your course had ended?)

2 Are you asking if it's okay to submit your payslips from when you were in the Science and Graduate Scheme AND when you were on a student visa?

3. Did you also indicate that you worked more hours than you were legally allowed to do on the student visa? And that's why you're glad that your employer didn't put the hours on your payslips?

4. I'm still confused about the 12-month gap in your full-time studies. But you say you're on a student visa now. Is it the case that you were enrolled in university then upon graduation you worked for a year under the science and graduate scheme. And then you applied for another student visa and became a student once again.

Maybe you could clarify some of these points and a few people will help you.

Cheers,
Ana

Post by awaiz_26 » Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:52 am

1.yes i am on the student visa back again after my SEGS and i am going to my college regularly.

2.yes i am asking this question that is it alrite that i can submit my payslips of the time when i was on SEGS and on student visa after SEGS.

3.yes i did worked more than 20 hours but i was on my summer holidays from college and that was for three months i.e. MAY, JUNE and JULY. as i am a manager so my employer dont put any hours on my wage slip.

4.the SEGS visa is for 12 months so those 12 months are a gap in my full time studies thats why i have to show uk job experience.

hope u understand this time.

thanks

Thanks for clarifying.

I don't think you will have a problem submitting those documents, but maybe a senior member can answer that.
