Anyone denied ILR(on WP) for long absentism

Post by Chris » Thu Jun 09, 2005 12:21 pm

I have very similar situation as this.

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... ilr+absent

Currently I am in UK on WP(2 yrs now) with a stable job. I have an offer to join a British Company on WP but I will be transferred to Holland branch of the same company for long term project work (more than 2 yrs) from day one. This is execellent career opportunity for me but I dont want to jeoparadise my ILR(which is after 2 yrs) in anyways. To ensure I dont have an individual absence of more than 90 days I would be visiting UK for a weekend every 3 months. By the time I apply for my ILR I will have more than 700 days of absence. I will be paid into my UK bank account and my tax/NI will be deducted. Would this be worth taking considerig the risk of jeoparadising my ILR in future.

Another thing is would there be any problem in my ILR application, to join a company in UK and being transfered to overseas branch of the same company on DAY ONE. I am refering to the restriction similar to applying an L1 visa for US where an employee can be transfered overseas branch only if he has worked for at least 1 yrs with in his principle country for the same company.

I am sorry for repeating the question, Basically have anyone heard of similar case and denied ILR.

You views and input would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris

So far no one has come across ILR rejection in this situation.
Thanks for the (silent) reply.
