Naturalization based on marriage to an Irish citizen

Post by yankeegirl » Tue Jan 27, 2009 11:29 pm

I plan on applying for naturalization early next year based on being married to an Irish citizen. I had a wee look at the application just so I can get an idea of what will be needed when the time comes, and I have a couple of questions.

I don't have a lot of the info that's needed for the application. No GNIB or PPS number since we live in Northern Ireland. What kind of proof should I gather to submit to prove living "on the island of Ireland"? Also, how will that work with the garda clearance, since I've never lived in the south?

Any proof you're living legally in Northern Ireland, eg U.K. visa, NI number, U.K. tax records, utility bills, bank accounts, and so on.
