Tier1 Visa rejected - Bank statement format issue

Post by amit_del » Tue Feb 03, 2009 8:26 am

Hello Friends,

I have received refusal notice which says -

1. Original bank statements from ICICI Bank account number xxxx showing transactions from date to date. However these do not show that you maintained a balance equivalent GBP 2800 during this period.

2. A letter from ICICI Bank confirming that the above account had not fallen below Rs. xxxx during the period. However this is not evident from the transaction history.

Explaination:
If anyone is aware of ICICI Quantum optima facility in which funds from savings account are transferred to term deposit account (purely acts an an e-savings account) where funds are in the form of "readily available cash" and linked to savings account.
Hence from the savings account statement, the required balance was not visible from each day balance history. Hence I'd submit a letter from the bank confirming that the required funds had been maintained in the savings account and the quantum optima. However this has clearly been overlooked by the visa officer.

I wish to apply for an administrative review. Please can anyone assist with the reply.

Thanks,
Amit

Doesnt the bank statements show - the balance for each transaction?

Even I took the statements from ICIC for Earning Period.

Thanks for your replies.
The letter from the bank was submitted confirming that the funds (GBP3700) had been in the account for the 3 months period.

The balance of each transaction does not show the actual overall balance as the cash funds were distributed among the saving account as well as the term deposit accounts. The original statement shows the details of the term deposit accounts as well. But I suppose the visa office was expecting to see the total balance on each day as the facts had been overlooked.

Timelines:
Application submitted: 24-Oct-2008.
Refusal notice: 14-Jan-2009.

I think you should have just provided one evidence from your Bank i.e. A letter from ICICI Bank confirming that the above account had not fallen below Rs. xxxx during the period.

Your case became complicated with ICICI optima scheme and two evidences. With this scheme you should never provide account statement to BHC, because it will only confuse them. If you have to do it, then another letter from ICICI explaining to BHC about this scheme and statement of your sweeped-in Fixed Deposits should have been provided.
