Quick question about Schengen visa

1. Do you have to first visit the country(Schengen) to the embassy you have applied your visa or u can get hold of visa from any Schengen embassy & then travel to any country?

2. Is it neceassry to submit travel document?
What are the most common travel document one need to submit?

Check with the embassy. They may ask you to be covered for repatriation.
