It will be a good thing for you to put your problem clearly.. as boarders even they know can not assume other pieces of ur problem..

You don't generally sign a passport, you sign a application letter. Your signature is then transfered onto the passport.

If you have to sign your passport manually and you have submitted it to some form of application with no signature then it probably has a 90% chan ce of being rejected.

Really? I have submitted the application forms and cover letter with signs at everywhere. I have also submitte two passports, the older one is out of date, I signed on it long time ago. The new passport is the one I renewed recently, I forgot to sign on it. Big problem???

Is it even a valid passport without your signature, it may not be.

Short answer, Yes most probably. I reccomend you contact the authorities that issued the passport and ask them what to do.

James..

Few questions...

1. WHen did you get thsi new renewed passport?date?
2. Did you travel anywhere using this new passport?
3. By saying you did no sign on the passport.. (which no body does) they only sign in the application - in a square box - 2 signatures will be done and Indian Embassy who issues this new passport will cut/scan paste those signatures on your passort
4. you dont sing it..
5. Do you have a scan copy of your new passport which shows no signature on the 1st page?

6. As suggested by other boarder, contact the embassy and speak about ur case and ask what is to be done??

Thank you for your concern.
1. I get my new passport last April.
2. I used it for a couple of times, went back to my country and back to uk...
3. It is a valid passport, but it is not an Indian passport. :) We don't need a sign in application, but asked to sign after get it. Sign place is at the last page of passport, like bank card which is issued to you and ask you to sign at the back of the card. I always forgot to sign there as well, but use it properly.

Right ok we're getting closer to the question that you actually want to ask but still haven't.

Have you now submitted this passport for an application to the UK Home Office? Are you worried that with no signature on the Passport that they will not be able to confirm that it is your signature on the application form?

Again, my advice to you if this is the case is to contact the body that you have submitted the appliacation to and find out what the procedure is surrounding these cases. Be warned though, I do not think it will be a very good outcome.

Yes. I submitted this passport for application, it is with HO now. As you said, I am worried that without my signature, the case worker will assume the passport not mine.
