My wife is holding an Indian passport and is presently studying in Scotland on a UK Visa. About a fortnight back she travelled to meet a friend of hers in Sweden on a tourist visa which expires on 16 Feb, the day she is gonna travel back to UK. She has discovered today that she has lost her passport in transit. She has already filed a police complaint in Sweden and she would arrange to get a temporary passport tommorrow.
My query is, would it be possible for her to enter UK without the visa as she has a genuine reason and complaint has been lodged.
Also could some provision or someone consulate/embassy contacted, as an emergency so that she is allowed entry in UK.
What documents does she need to carry now.
