weird accomodation question

Hi, I recently rented a property directly from the landlord, no letting agency involved. Now I am about to apply for spouse visa for my wife and have to submit proof of accomodation. The landlord has been kind enough to give me a written contract, however I don't think this would be acceptable if its not backed up by some authorized legal body like lawyer, rental agency etc. Can someone please let me know what extra documents should I make to submit the accomodation proof for the visa.

A rental contract direct from the Landlord (no agent involved, no legalization) is perfectly fine. That's what we used, and it worked out alright! A few utility bills in your name to the same address, if you have any? Good Luck!

Hi Rozen, thanks for the information. My rent includes all bills, and that's what says in the contract, hence no utility bills on my name. I just got this place 2 weeks ago and the contract is on a black-white paper, and that's what making me think twice

I can send you tenancy agreement which you can take you to landlord and ask him to fill it accordingly.

He should have got that in the first place.Without a tennancy agreement,you can come up against allsorts of problems in the future with your landlord.

The TA is the official and legal document for a contract between a landlord and his tennant. However because some landlords are dodgy, they dont always give you one.
