Yes. They can postdate the visa.hsmp_1476 wrote:Hi all,
I am living in UK on HSMP and planning to call my in-laws for a 4-6 month visit. Can they (living in India) apply for their visitor's visa 2-3 months in advance? I mean can they apply now and ask for a visa which starts in a future date?
Thanks a lot in advance
Vikram
Perhaps you could mention in your invitation/sponsor letter that, although your rental agreement expires on (whatever date), it is subject to renewal. Or does it not already say that, somewhere in the terms?hsmp_1476 wrote:Thanks guys, I finally got a response from VFS India saying that visa can be applied 3 months in advance and they give postdated visa as well.
But now I need to think of another thing...my rental agreement is expiring in another 4 months and I am not sure if that will be an issue during sponsering a visa. There is no way I can get another rental agreement till the current one expires. Please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Vikram
