Eu Treaty rights- if exercised in ireland is it valid in uk?

Post by ukindia26 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 12:58 pm

Hi

I am a british national currently living and working in Ireland. I recently married my husband, an indian national, in a civil ceremony in the uk and have just sent an application to exercise my eu treaty rights in ireland.

We will be moving back to the UK soon for work etc, i want to know if once we have exercised the eu treaty rights and got a positive response from ireland, does that carry over to the UK or do we have to conduct the whole process again in England?

Please advise as all information available on government websites on this matter is, as usual, inadequate.
