HSMP Extension query

Hi,
I am got my HSMP in Oct 2007, having extension on Oct 2009.
Will this changes of bringing masters will affect the extension, as i am having bachelors... or this rule will apply to only tier1 and after tier1 extension.
I went through the UK border agency website and there are no details of extension being affected..
Will senior members share their ideas, so that others can be well prepared...
