Keep calling. That's the number. Most times I just redial again and again (like 5 times) and then I get through. I think they play that message hoping you'll give up and leave the phone alone

I would say best time to call is 9:00:00 in the morning. You have more chances to get through in your first attempt.

May be it is based on the type of application..

Hello folks,

I sent appliction WP>Tier1 on 07/Jan, but still waiting:

17/Feb(Tues) : awaiting consideration;
19/Feb(Thurs): under further consideration;
20/Feb(Fri): awaiting further consideration;

23/Feb(Mon): awaiting further consideration;
I realized insufficient duration of one account statement for maintemance fund and sent an additional statement on the same account;
25/Feb(Wed): under consideration;
26/Feb(Thurs): awaiting further consideration;
27/Feb(Fri): awaiting futher consideration;

02/Mar(Mon): awaiting further consideration...

My concerns are:
1. Will the additional statement be considered by the case worker from these statuses?
2. will my case take even longer?

Hi WPTO Tier 1

My application is also similar to yours. WP --> Tier 1. I have applied on 8th Jan.
It was under consideration till 18th Feb.

But since 19th Feb till today 2nd March it is either awaiting consideration or awating further consideration and these status change at random with no particular logic behind it.

My frustration is increasing day by day. Its been 8 weeks now.

The first thing they'll probably ask when you call is "When did you submit?" and they do their calculation. If it's less than six weeks, they'll ask you to call back when the six weeks are up.
But if you have itchy fingers like me, you'll probably call anyway. No harm done. I hate doing nothing and waiting.

My application has reached 6 weeks and counting as of today. My existing leave expired on Friday, and I've not got any second chances. This wait is absolutely excruciating....

Thanks HSMP,

Its a coincidence that, I got my initial HSMP VISA Stamped on 3rd March 2007 as well. Also the old VISA was valid from 2nd MArch 07 to 01 March 2009 and the new one is valid from 2nd MArch 2009 to 1st March 2012.

Hope we will talk again during our settlement applications....until then....good luck and enjoy your stay in UK.

How do you know the "vaild from" date? My extension visa was approved on 11th Feb but there is no "vaild from" date in the sticker. Initial visa was expired on 8th Feb.

Guys.. i just tried to get an update on my application and asked about the suprising waiting time of applications received on or before 17th Feb 09..

The lady (who seems to have alot of patience) told they are receiving queries about the same and she told that she is sure that this week they are looking into application received on or before 20th Jan..

So, i just "THINK" that HO has just given the 17th Feb 09 as for the whole month of March?? may be or may not be...

Hi HSMP.. how r you mate.. my status is as usual Awaiting Consideration.... i know still a long way to go..

HSMP.. He calculated based on his expiry date and 3years in mind..

Thanks Ramesh - given that I submitted my application at the same time as you, I can probably assume that they have not yet considered my application either and it is "awaiting consideration." I don't understand why ther is such a delay in the process and only wish there was more transparency regarding these things.
