waiting time for fiance visa appointment

hi,

my fiance in the states is applying online for her fiance visa thursday night. then she will make an appointment to go in person to the new york consulate with all of our documents. my questions are these......

when she requests an appointment, how fast are they in giving one? and ---- in peoples experience, how close is it between requesting the appointment and going for it? days? weeks? months?
