Naturalisation and LTR query(plz help)

Post by mohan_india » Mon Mar 09, 2009 3:00 pm

Hi Folks,

I have few queries for naturalisation and LTR process:-

1. Can plz someone give me the format or information to obtain the long form marraige certificate for affidavit? I have marraige certificate from India, but it will not be accepted by DOJ?
2. Do I need to stay continuously for at least one year before applying the naturalisation application? I know that i need 4 years of reckonable residency, but was not sure about 5th year. Can i leave/ enter ireland in fifth year before applying for naturalisation? I have left ireland for at least a month in last 4 years for holiday to india? Will it (holiday peiod) be reckonable in terms of residency ?
3. I have medical card( G.P Vist only) for me and my family. Will it have any impact for naturalisation application?
4. Is there any way to expedite the naturalisation process???
solicitor or localTD ..can they be of any help???
5.Can i get PCC done before hand from India embassy for LTR? or do i need to wait until DOJ asks for it? I heard it takes time getting PCC from India embassy? at least 6 weeks...

regards
mohan

1) Use a reputable translation company to translate your marriage cert into English, this should be enough. If it is in English, a copy of the original is fine.

2) No. As long as there are no breaks in the time covered by INIS stamps in your passport.

3) No, how this can affect anything?

4) Officially, no. TD may be persuaded to ask the Minister of JE&LR about your application. By telepatic power granted to me, I pass the answer: "Your application is in the advanced stage, please wait for another 2 years."

5) If you want to. However, by the time your application is considered, the PCC may already be out of date, so they may ask you for another one.
