Dear All,

Does anyone have any idea how long the waiting time/processing time for tier 1 is these days. I applied on 2 feb, but not heard anything yet. My concern is that the new rules will come up by month end and if for any silly reason, my tier 1 gets rejected, i wont be able to re-apply as i dont have masters. Moreover, my passport is with homeoffice and if there is a urgent situation to go abroad, i will have to withdraw application for no fault of mine.. I am really stressed and worried. Can some one give me info please..

There's a thread in the stickies section on this message board that gives some guidance. Also the website, www.trackitt.com also has some extra information. However, it's safe to assume that standard in-country application is about 6 weeks at present, while an initial grant from outside the UK is usually shorter than that.

If your application is rejected, despite you providing the appropriate evidence, you may have the opportunity to appeal this decision which will be decided under the "old" rules.
