Waiting times
This page gives details of the processing time for applications made under Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system.
During the week commencing 16 March 2009, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 5 February 2009. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.
Please be aware that the customer contact centre is currently experiencing very high call demand and therefore you may experience difficulties in contacting us. We apologise for this and for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Mine back "under consideration" again. They may just cast dice

... Not sure I'll be able to have passport sent back by end of this week.

Mine is still in AFC

...I had to make a decision this morning and put in a request for application withdrawal for immediate return of passports and documents...I had no other choice...

Rohit,
That's Good that you have leave to remain. You can follow the link
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/conta ... ginperson/
for premium service. It costs 200 pound more than the normal application but worth it. You need to call 4 weeks in advance to make an appointment.
Best of luck with your FIL's health and your future application.
Regards,
Wahab

wahab,
Mine back AFC again this morning. Also I was told that the urgent treatment request I sent last monday wasn't passed on to the case worker until last Friday, despite track on their system since last Tuesday. So annoying...

Can anyone tell me if it is appropriate to request an urgent decision at the time of application if I have a continuous job offer? i.e The job I am currently in is on-going.
Many thanks...
