Tier 1 VISA - What Does it Say on the Visa Type?

Post by djbig » Wed Mar 18, 2009 5:26 pm

Hello,

For those who already got the Tier 1 visa stamped on the passport, can you answer this question?

What does the visa actually say? (as the visa type)
Does it say "temporary visa", "migrant visa", "residence visa", "working visa", or something else?

And how long is it valid for? 2 years?

I would really appreciate if you could tell me what it says.
Thank you!

Does it say "Tier 1 (General) Migrant" on the visa itself?
I am wondering what the actual visa says.

Sorry to bother again but another question...

If approved for Tier 1, is the visa valid for 2 years?
And is the visa stamping done at the embassy?

Dude,

It doesn't matter where you apply the visa from. Tier1 visa is always given (under the current rules) for 3 years initially. And yes it would be 'Entry Clearance' given at the local UK High commission (though I understand that US citizens have a Visa waiver to 'visit' UK).

Cheers
