Hello All,

i have got PSW in Jan 2009,

My question is I am preparing myself to apply for Tier 1 general (HSMP) in the future,How can i acheive the points, I may have less points in earnings because the job i am doing has less earnings., Friends are saying open up a company and then do the paper work, but i have no experience in opening and running a company. What kind of options available to me please,,,,, Or even i open a company, what kind of company it could be? and how to do the paper work please,,,,

I really don't see the need of opening up a company if you don't have a contract job or any earnings being generated through the company(someone correct me if I am wrong). My advice would be to look for a second job to boost your earnings no matter how little the job may be, it could add up when your p60 shows up at the end of the tax year. Opening up a company will not bring some flurry of money your way except you intend on running the company. If you have got a good qualification, maybe you can search for contract jobs with agencies and see how it goes. Sorry if this doesn't help but this is all I can think of now.

opening up a company is a big hassle unless u got some contracts and stuff. u have to open a business account for that company and u cant even pay money easily like normal bank account u have to have some inventory generated... at the end u got to pay to accountant to make a spreadsheet about your ins and outs... its a very big process... try to find second job or do some contract work by making yourself SELF EMPLOYED...but u can take cash as self employed take cheques and stuff with generated inventories.... then u got to certify this with an accountant to show it as your actual money in tier 1...
