Advice on Filling in VAF2 Settlement Form

Post by Swannie » Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:02 pm

Hi

My fiance is currently filling in her VAF2 form and there are a couple of queries I have.

First Query is Question 3.2 Have you ever been engaged to be married. Does this include our current relationship as we are engaged to each other or is this referring to previous relationships only ?

Also Question 6.14 Do you intend to work in the UK. As she cannot work until she marries, should she answer no to this question or answer yes, but only after marriage ?

Thanks in advance.

You are right to think that Q3.2 is worded strangely. It is not totally clear.

However there is of course no harm your fiancée saying that she is currently engaged to you ..... and if applicable also giving details about any earlier engagement.

Q6.14 .... I think you have summed it up. I don't see any harm your fiancée answering "yes" to that question but adding that she realises she cannot work on a fiancée visa, and will only work in the UK after the spouse visa is granted.
