It's quite plain - ur app will be returned unprocessed since you don't live in one of the area that can apply via post.Andre2000 wrote:Hi,
My wife has a 2 year spouse visa (she is Kenyan), I am a British national.
We wanted to go to Paris for a few days so we need Schengen visa for my wife. I have all the info except one thing. On the French embassy's website it states:
"If you live in one of the counties cited below, you may apply for your visa by postal application, even if your passport is submitted to consultation:"
However I live in Bromley Kent still a London borough, it also states:
"If your county is not listed above, your application will be returned to you without being processed. You will then need to book an appointment to apply for your visa." I tried to book an appointment online but none are available. So my only option is through the postal system.

If I send my documents via post my only option right now it seems they would be returned as my county (Kent) is not listed, this seems to be wrong.
Can anyone shed any light?
Just to clarify, I can get a schengen visa from the german embassy and then take my trip to Paris directly? I have no intention of visiting Germany in the near future.kashiff wrote:hi
u can apply in german embaasy and u can enter in paris on this visa!

Talk about unapologetic non-compliance!kashiff wrote:i got holland (schengen) visa july 2007 and colud not travel then i got from french and i traveld to paris in dec 2007 then i got from german and traveld to italy in june 2008 then i got again german visa in november 2008 but did not travel .now i got from swiss and i am going to spain or amsterdam.
Well I am going to France however it would seem I am not allowed to send in postal applications due to being out of the designated counties ( I live in Kent), also when I try to get an appointment via their site it seems there are none. https://www.consulfrance-londres.org/se ... vices3.phpPlum70 wrote:Talk about unapologetic non-compliance!kashiff wrote:i got holland (schengen) visa july 2007 and colud not travel then i got from french and i traveld to paris in dec 2007 then i got from german and traveld to italy in june 2008 then i got again german visa in november 2008 but did not travel .now i got from swiss and i am going to spain or amsterdam.
Why not just apply to the embassy of the country you plan to visit?

The French consulate website updates their appontments daily, just keep dipping in there and you'll be lucky and they do get cancellations. You're much safer going to France on a French Schengen. I wouldn't take a risk of being refused entry and spoiling your holiday.
