Fulltime Study on Tier1 General

Post by bulldozer » Tue Mar 31, 2009 12:07 am

Hi All,

I am about to start a fulltime masters degree and currently have more than enough time left on my Tier 1 General Visa.

the question is whether I can study on this Visa, and reenter the workforce after my study is over. Or will I be forced to go on the student visa and then switch again to the tier 1 visa afterwards.

I look forward to your thoughts on this issue,

-b

Yes you can study fulltime but plan and think now if you will study fulltime then how will you extend your stay and will you elligible for PSW or not?

Hi Dextar,

thanks for your reply. After my study is over, I should still have 18 months of leave left, in which I can work and show a 12 year work history. Also at that point I will have stayed in the UK for 5 years in total, hopefully giving me indefinite leave to remain.

let me know if there is a hole in my plan.
