Any person requiring and thus by extension seeking leave to enter the UK must satisfy the Immigration Officer that they meet the conditions of the category they seek said leave. The IO (acting for the Home Secretary) is empowered by immigration laws, rules and operational policy to ask pertinent questions/ details pertaining to the status the potential entrant holds and is seeking. This is to include when, what and how the relevant category of leave was obtained - they are doing their job as they are meant to be.sasha wrote:Can please someone help me with the following?
I have ILR. Whenever I arrive to London airports I've always been asked by the immigration officers how did I get my ILR!?! Does anyone know why? Does it matter? Can it be revoked?
many thanks
