hi all
pls can some one advice us on how to apply for ilr outside the immigration rules,
this is is to buy time so my bro can wrap things up in the uk and be able to stay in his job and also avoid unexpected deportation .

any links or ideas highly appreciated.

But if he doesn't need to stay (he is intending to leave and wrap things up), how would he make an ILR application without lying?

He could get air tickets for some future date and send copies saying this is when he intends to leave. If he has no right to work at the moment, making this ILR application is not going to change that as far as I am aware.

thank you , i understand wat you mean, he is not intending to lie on his app. it just to say his been here for over 8yrs and he has settled here and he hasnt been to his original country for so long, that he wud find it difficult to readjust there.
once they bring the coa he can then give that to his work place.

as for the ticket does he have to pay or just reserve a seat?

COA- do you mean the one for family members of EEA nationals or British people exercising treaty rights.

If it is an outside the rules ILR application the acknowledgement letter would not say your brother has permission to work if he has no leave now.
