Irish Work Permit and Spouse

Post by swood » Mon Aug 01, 2005 5:02 pm

I have a question hopefully someone will have
: an answer. I have a pretty good handle on
: the work permit issue. I actually am 90%
: certain I will have one in about two months.
: My job is being listed with FAS right now.
: What doesn't seem real clear is when your
: family could join you. I have seen it listed
: as one year for your spouse unless they had
: a work permit also. I really do not want her
: to work but I want them with me. Is that
: accurate. If they do have a work permit
: also would our underage children be admited
: at that point or would they have to wait a
: year? We are US citizens. I am assuming
: she could come over for 90 days but then
: what. Has anybody else found a solution to
: this issue. My skill is in Telecoms so we
: would not qualify for the 2 year
: authorization nor for the spousal work
: permit.
:
: Regards,
:
: Sam
