ILR - Internet Bank statements?

Post by bluerinser » Sat Apr 18, 2009 12:33 pm

Hi,

My saving accounts are all internet accounts (they have better rates!) and the banks do not provide paper statements.

Will I have any problems if I show the caseworker a copy of my internet bank statements? I intend to go to the bank and get an officer to endorse/authorise it.
Will that be a problem?

I'm asking this because on the application form, it says they do not accept internet statements..

Thank you!

It won't be problem if you get them authorised by bank officials. Alternatively bank can normally issue a letter for fee. Talk to relevant bank authority to get one on bank stationery.

I agree, internet statements endorsed by the bank should be ok. I sent one of these when my husband applied recently (in February 2009) for ILR. This was only because the postal statement had not arrived by the time of posting his application so I put a note on it saying that I would forward the original postal statement as soon as it arrived but the point is they did not question the internet statement, especially as I had it stamped by the bank!

You may also have a confirmation letter from the bank from when you opened the online account. You could send that as extra confirmation that the account exists.
