I posted my application on 24th March and it reached HO on 25th March.

With UKBA considering application received on and before 24th March, do they mean application date (in my case 24th) or date when it reached HO?

They will be considering from the date they received but if you are lucky your application might get considered this week itself, there have been instances when they have approved application received on later date not falling in their period of consideration....so fingers crossed.

Gr8 news. Congratulations !! Party time.

Strange thing is that visa stamped on 1st April. Don't know what's exactly HO was doing till now.

Were you calling HO everyday ?

I hope my application is not getting delayed becoz everyday I call them.

7th Apr - Under Consideration (Morning & Evening)
8th Apr - Under Consideration (Morning & Evening)
9th Apr - Under Consideration (Morning & Evening)

Main Applicant + 2 Dependants

Date Application Sent: 11-March-2009 (AM)
Date Application Received by Home Office: 12-March-2009 (AM)
Date Payment Deducted: 12-March-2009 (AM)
Date Reference No. received by Post: 14-March-2009 (Letter dated 12-03-09)
Result & VISA stamped: Approved on 17-April-2009
Date Passport/Docs received from HO: 18-April-2009

I requested for further LTR for a period of 3 Years and 1.5 month and luckily they granted me such longer approval.
My case was processed in Sheffield Office. They did not do any verification.

I am really thankful to this forum, and I wish you all the good luck.

I got my papers & passport stamped till 2012. Thank God and thanks all the members of this group for help and information.

Here is my timeline:

Application Posted - 11th March
HO received application - 12th March
Fees Debited - 12th March
Ref. Letter Received - 14th March
Papers received -18th April
Passport Stamped on - 17th April
Valid till - 17th April 2012

Hi all!!

As a quite silent reader of this forum (though I did post here and there) I'm happy to inform you that I got my Tier 1 visa today

Previously I had HSMP.

This is my timeline:

Application sent: 10th March
Application received: 11th March
Fee debited: 13th March
Reference letter received: 14th March
Visa stamped: 16th April
Documents received: 20th April (today!!)

Although I applied early (my previous visa was valid until 30th September 2009) my new visa is valid until 30th September 2012!!

Another important issue: Few days after I submitted my application my previous employer (from whom I submitted a letter in the previous earnings category) went into administration. Couple of weeks afterwords I sent UKBA a letter from the administrators, explaining the situation and repeating the facts about my employment & salary as were stated in the employer's letter.

God bless you all!! This is a wonderful forum which helped me to keep my sanity during the harsh waiting time.

Hopefully you will all get your visas.

hi friends, i had applied on 24th Feb and my application is "Awaiting further Consideration" since past week or more.....do u guys have any idea if that is normal????
also, being in AFC for so long means no one is looking into it or are they waiting for some responses from someone??

I feel 'awaiting further consideration' means its waiting to be checked by a manager once the case worker has looked at it. Dont worry, may be the manager was on holiday last week (Easter break) and he will pick it up this week.
By the way, did they contact your employer?

ok....i am not sure if they contacted my employer.I dont want to inform the employer abt the application my self as they may ask me 100's of questions........If HO contacts my employer should my employer tell me about it ?

Depends but employer might tell you they were contacted or not. Reason I asked because I applied on 10 th March and still waiting, my employer hasnt been conatcted yet. But I am pretty sure you will get good news soon, AFc seems to be the last message before they send back the application (approved of course!)
