hi,
it should be a UK equvalent of 20000GBP.
So if a person is getting X amount then divide x by 75 ( current currency conversion) and you will get the converted amount in GBP. Then multiple by the uplift ratio (say 5.3 for India) and the resulting figure would be your earnings.

Please refer to UKBA website for the Points based calculator.

hi,
If u are getting 600000 per annum the your GBP equivalent is 8094( current exchange rate) and if u apply uplift ratio ( since earnings were made in India) your equivalent earnings in GBP is 42898.20 GBP.
this will give u 45 points!!!!

Please use http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator for calculations.

I dont have experiance myself but looking at the posts from people applying from out side UK (India) i can see degree verification being done. Not sure the procedure.

(p.s: The above statement is made on the basis of comments posted by other members on the forums.)
