french titre de sejour advice

Post by abs123 » Sun Aug 07, 2005 11:16 pm

Hello,

I need some visa advice. I just completed my studies in France. I am not from an EU member state so i had a schengen visa, which has since expired, and a titre de sejour which expires next month.

I am currently in Cairo on vacation and will return to France in a few weeks.

I also curently have a working holiday maker visa for the UK valid for the next two years and i plan to go work there.

I would like to be able to travel around Europe during this time.

What can i do to make this possible?

Is there anything i can do to either extend my titre de sejour or possibly convert it to work permit(i think i read this somewhere)? Or is there any way i can get another schengen visa?

Also would my UK work visa allow me to visit the schengen countries?

Hope you can help.

ab

I don't think your uk work permit will allow you to visit Schengen countries. The UK and Ireland are not a part of the schengen scheme and I think it works both ways.

I'm british and my husband is from outside of the EU, he has a spouse visa but still has to apply for a schengen visa to visit the rest of Europe.
