Help regarding Visa Form.

Hello All,

I am on work permit holder and recently my wife got her dependent visa.
Now I am trying to fill up family visit visa VAF 1B form to sponser my mother on visit visa.
I am very confused on following question.

8.8 In the last two years has the relative that you are staying
with sponsored anyone else’s visit to the UK?

What i need to mentioned here YES OR NO.

...my wife got her dependent visa NOT visit visa.
So please tell me what i need to aswer to above question?

Looking at the words you quote, and for the reason you think, it seems to me that "no" is the correct answer to the question.

That is, your wife is not "merely" visiting!

To be on the safe side I think it should be yes.

You should however make it clear that it was your wifes dependemt visa.

I think they merely ask this question so they can cross reference the information that you have supplied to ensure its consistent.

If the question on the form is exactly the way you have phrased it, then like John, I think the answer is "no". The question seems to relate to visit visas! If the question was...
In the last two years has the relative you are staying with sponsored anyone else to the UK?....Then, the answer is likely to be a 'yes'. Because then it doesn't specificy any particular visa.
