For me, this seems like a never ending wait. Very soon it will be 1.5 months since we applied for dependents Visa at Hyderabad VFS.

Boss , people in UK wait for 2 months or more ..There are even jan guys who are still waiting ... 1.5 is nothing

Mahesh.. u shd understand the pain Wpeace is going through.. ast in india for dependents it just takes 1week to 10days time... 45days is too much...

worldpeace.. though we r not experts in india vfs system of working i think u shd call their customer case and expalin ur case n try to know the reason or they may advice u some other way..

I tried to call/mail them many times, but they have just one reply saying bulk of applications, and technical problems.
I understand that in such situations delay happens, but even in my known circle I hear of many people who applied even 10 days after and have got it already long long back ago.
Thats why I fell its like neverending wait due to which my entire family is troubled a lot in many ways. I even told them that I might end up losing the place for my child in school here in UK which I had managed to get with lot of difficult as all nearby schools have a long waiting list. Hope they understand and process it faster.

Finally we received a courier for our passports today, with the stamping

Tier 1 Dependents
Date of application 16th March 09
Date of receiving 29th April 09
Applied from VFS Hyderabad.

This should give a ray of hope to all those who are waiting.
