Admin review also refused,,anything can be done against bank

Post by loodk » Sat May 02, 2009 3:40 am

Hi all,
I applied for my Tier-1 visa on 21st Jan, refused on 03rd Feb. Received passport back on 18th March.
Refusal reason, "Bank management staff has verified the bank statement as non genuine"
Applied for Admin review on 26th March with supporting documents of new bank letter but refused again as
"official from bank viewed the statement and confirmed that it is non genuine"
It appears they have not re-considered my docuemnts, they've only reinstated the original refusal.
Now is there anything to prove the statement is genuine?
Can i go in court against my bank of being irresponsible?
Regards,

I guess not much can be done , now that the Bank has refuse to verify the documents. Reapplying is one of the options.

You should find out as to who was contacted from the Bank, if at all, the second time around. You can get a clarification from BHC in this regard. Check with the concerned official to get his version. If BHC did not carry out verification properly then you can lodge a complaint.

@Push
I've checked today Bank manager has confirmed he was not contacted by anyone at any time.
I know by myself that BHC has not done proper verification but where i can challenge this? with what supporting documents?

I've 4 years engg. degree, BSc. Am i eligible for new application or masters is a must now for tier-1 (G)?

Regards,
Sorry, I did not know that you do not have a Master's Degree. You have to lodge a formal complaint with BHC. See the address below:
If you wish to complain about the service you received from visa staff at this High Commission, please address your complaint in writing to

Lodge the official complaint as Push said cuz thats the only solution for u.
Masters degree is the minimum requirement now and as u know BHC is not accepting pakistani Masters from any institution..

What you ppl suggest,
I should complain directly to embassy now or
I should ask bank manager to write to embassy and confirm the account/statement is genuine

Hi Loodk,

Get a letter from Bank confirming the genuineness of all the bank statements and that no official of the HO contacted them to verify the genuineness of these bank statements that you have used for all your applications. Then write a very strongly worded letter to the Home Office through the BHC in your country stating all the circumstances that due to their negligence, it has cost you psychological problems, money, time and efforts has been wasted and that you would want them or their confirming agents to also confirm from the Bank the genuinessness of these documents. State it clearly that you are ready to take this issue further to the appropriate channels if this is not treated with all fairness and transparency. Include a photocopy of these confirmation letters from your Bank in the letter to HO through BHC.

I hope this helps.
