Spanish Embassy Ireland

Post by knapps » Thu Apr 30, 2009 3:10 pm

I am a spouse of an EU citizen and submitted my visa application 10 days ago in Dublin and they said it would take 23 days for them to decide because i come from Pakistan. When i said that as per embassy website my application should be dealt on priority as the normal application takes 10 days she said it does not matter there is a consultation.

I want to know is it legal for them as she said there is a special requirement for Shengen countries if so then why other shengen countries let me in without visa also i have got two shengen visa already expired on my passport. any help there.

Will you be travelling with your spouse?

If so the embassy is required to issue the visa
(1) as soon as possible
(2) on the basis of an accelerated process
and
(3) free of charge
