Inshallah im hoping to apply for my husband to join me in the uk, but im a student.

how will that affect my application?

I believe he has been granted visa so there should not be any problem.

If it was to affect your application, it would have affected when he applied for visa.

What would/could effect your application? Applying visa for husband or some other application that you intend to make after your husband has been granted visa?

You need to tell us in details.

Lol...... your comments get more and more confusing

I think she is asking how she should go about getting her husband a visa.

She is a student at the moment.

What you need to ask her is to supply us with more personal info about her present circumstances,so we can get the full story and then advise her accordingly.

I suspect she has posted in the wrong section...... I think she wanted this to appear in the applying from Pakistan section.

Anyway if she wants help, she knows what to do

but applying from Pakistan section??? i didnt know there was a section specifically for applying from Pakistan.

my circumstances are, im currently studying, working part-time, even though im doing fair bit of overtime my contracted hours are 13 per week. I only have Â£3000 in savings, but i dont pay any expenses, as i live with my parents.

so shall i bother applying for my husbands visa ( i know he's got to submit the papers himself....or am i wrong?) or do i wait and get a job with more hours?

p.s thank u hamid........for all the confusion! but i apologise if i caused the confusion in the first place.

I might be wrong but I don't think u can count student working income as sponsorship for a dependant, can anyone confirm or deny?

What I meant is that most people who have applied in Pakistan usually post their comments about their application here in this post. I thought you were trying to post there, but accidently posted your comments on the main page of this forum.

Anyway getting back to your problem:

Are you both over 21 , if not then you cant apply.

The question you want to be asking yourself is could you maintain, support and accomadate both yourself and husband on the money that you have presently coming in. Remember third party financial support is not allowed.

Personally speaking I think you would be struggling to convince the ECO to grant your husband a visa in your present cirumstances.

I think you need to be in full time employment with a decent wage coming in to succeed. You have a reasonable amount in your bank, if you could get full time wage and continue to save money, your chances will be improve further.

As far as accomadation is concerned, you and your hubby can stay with your parents until such times you can (rent) or afford your own property.

I would not waste your time and money applying in your present circumstances. Get everything sorted out first then apply.

my main concern was my income. im not going to be in full time employment till i finish studying.

Inshallah my hours will be increasing end of this month and i'll be earning around Â£150-Â£170 per week. Do u think thats sufficient?

if i wait, isnt that going to look really bad?

I've just realised I've assumed the OP is on a student visa, ie is not a British Citizen, can the OP confirm?

Not that I am aware of, unless Wanderer thinks otherwise, but like Hamid84 I think he has either assumed , presumed or misunderstood your current status in the UK. ( Its funny how many times that has happened with this post!!!! )

As to whether the income you have coming is sufficient to support you and your husband, you need to find out what a couple might recieve on Income Support per week, because that is the minimum amount you and your husband would need to live in the UK.

If you meet the requirement, its unlikely that they will turn you down because the income support amount is what the Appeal court decided is the amount a couple need to live on.

However I would like to be a bit cautious and would normally ask that you should earn a wage that is slightly higher than this amount. I would therefore advise that you finish your studies, get a permanant job and then apply for your husband visa.

I would not worry about the length of time that has elapsed since you got married and the time you apply, it should not really affect your case.

I do however suggest you keep in contact with your husband by phone , letter and emails but make sure you keep records of these as you will need them when you apply.

Ok so the chances of you finding employment in this field and getting a decent wage for doing this job look good.

You can if you wish apply for your husband on the basis of what you are earning, and providing you have enough accomadation and other savings to support you.

However something tells me that if you apply now, you are not going to get it.Its difficult to say what it is, buts its that gutsy feeling you get.

I think to be on the safe side, I would advise you to finish your studies off whilst you are on your own, then get a a full time job in this line of field, apply for your husbands visa and then go onto do your Masters.

Your chances of succeeding all round seems to lie in the latter. But its your decision that counts. Good luck

Batleykhan i was hoping to submit all the papers in early august, my hours of work have increased, and i could get a job letter.

but i guess we'll just wait and see.
