Funds for EC

Hello all,
I had applied for HSMP in sep’04 and got approval in July 2005


I have a question about funds.

I have balance about 50,000 rupees in my bank and my dad would like to get a Demand draft for 7000 pounds for my expenses in the UK and he also would like to show fixed deposits which is about 8000 pounds (on my name about 2500 pounds + on his name 5500).
This is our situation.
We don’t know, how to prepare the funds documents.

I have been advised to get a sponsor letter from my dad for the DD amount (7000) & fixed deposits.

Is it ok to prove the funds issue?
Is there anything that I need to do or mention to convince the consulate?
