Yes, It was very tough 2 months, finally approved till Jun 2012.
Another lucky thing is even though they have given wrong postcode, royal mail correctly identified my house. For some reason I keep getting mails for wrong postcode, even this place is built over 2 years now...I thought should have been sorted by now, dont whome to contact/complain..looks like some systems get my address for wrong postcode when they search for address/corresponding postcode..had to return DHL parcel same time collecting correct documents of mine.

Logically it means your application is waiting to be double checked by a senior employee and you should get a response soon.

my approval dated MAY 6th, so it was sent immediately after stamping. This week I only called yesterday after calling last friday(status was still under consideration). Basically I gaveup. I did not send any urgent treatment form even though I asked link from you. I got all the points I claimed for.

may be you will get next week considering short week.

Hi all....

Happy to tell you that I've got my passport back today.
Visa was approved on 8th May,09 valid till 8th May,2012.
One thing I learnt/experienced here was abt the status of the visa.

Student visa(ongoing studies) + 1 Dependant to Tier-1

19th Mar--- Application Posting Date
30th Apr--- UNDER CONSIDERATION
5th May--- UNDER CONSIDERATION
7th May--- UNDER FURTHER CONSIDERATION(changed here)
8th May--- UNDER CONSIDERATION(reverted back)
9th May--- Passport & papers received back

If any one has got his appln status changed from "Under Consideration" to "Under Further Consideration" again to "Under Consideration" that means visa is approved or already processed and you will get it in next couple of days.(refer my visa status above).

For those who are waiting, my best wishes are with them and advice them to keep best hopes alive wih patience.

Current Residence Permit Valid Until: 24-Jul-2009
Application Posted: 25-Mar-2009
Payment Deducted/Reference Letter Dated: 26-Mar-2009
Visa Approved: 6-May-2009
Documents Received: 8-May-2009
New Residence Permit Valid Until: 24-Jul-2012

I had budgeted 8 weeks for the return of my documents. In my cover letter, I had mentioned that I needed to apply for extension earlier as I had to travel at the end of June/beginning of July (which I will be doing).

All the best to others pursuing their Tier 1 visas.

I have received first reference number in the starting. My 6 weeks were getting completed on 7 May but I called the HO on 5 May and they have informed me that in there system my reference number is different. The customer care guy gave me a new number and asked that in future I should quote the new number only.
They have never asked me to send any additional docs. it was me who have send them additional docs but my application decision has been taken before receiving any such docs by them. I send them UT request by Post only. My Postal address was of Croydon for UT while additional docs address was Sheffield.

I know the literal meaning of these terminology but looking for what it means in terms of processing times and status of application with HO.

here is what has happened in my case

friday eve - awaiting consideration

monday morning - under consideration

today evening - docs dispatched!

I dont know why it never went to under further consideration etc -

does that mean that it has been rejected??

i had submitted 2 different sources - now i am thinking that I have not paid my council tax and that might be the reason - normally the status goes from under consideration to awaiting further consideration and then under consideration again - I dont know y my case never went to under further consideration!

Council tax is not an issue;

if ur case went from AFC to UC and than docs despatched means ur case is straight forward and it SHOULD be very positive only,,,

dont expect all the cases to go through AFC to UC to UFC...

Status : 8 weeks -Awaiting Further Consideration.
Status : 10 weeks+4 days - Awaiting Further Consideration
Status: 11 weeks- Under consideration
Status : 11 Weeks+1 day - Documents Recived , Visa Approved till 2012.
I feel- Very happy and Full of gratitude to members of this extraordinay forum!

I still have to check all the documents myself, but it seems no uplift ratio was given for earnings made in India while I was in UK.
