Student status for dependent work permit holders

Hi,

I am a dependent work permit holder. My husband completes 3 years in the UK early next year. After which he'll be eligible to pay EU fees for himself at universities. I wanted to know if the same is applicable if I wish to study. Since my visa is related to my husband's....so does the dependent also qualify for EU fees at the end of three years even if she has not been working or paying tax herself?

I don't think that's the rule. I am attached with university (not student). The rule is that you need to be permanent resident and also has been in Uk for three years.

Even for British citizen if they are returned from some other country has to complete three years residency before obtaining home/Eu fees.

Any of my learned friends could correct me if I am wrong

Thank you very much for responding. I'm sorry I think I missed out some imp info....I'll be completing 3 years' residency next year myself as well. Only thing is I've not been paying taxes for the last 3 years (my husband has been). In that case....do I still not qualify for EU fees upon completing 3 years?

No, international fees.

You need to have been free of immigration control for three years for eligibility for home fees.

So that means three years on ILR or EEA PR, as a WP/WP dependant you both are under immigration control as you have temporary stay only.
