Post by mopo » Wed May 13, 2009 6:59 pm

Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me....basically I lived in the UK on and off since 2001 on student visas and on a working holiday visa...I've just left the UK after being there for 2 years with the working holiday visa...and I lived with my boyfriend for the duration which 23 months to be exact...however my boyfriend looks after his mom and his family pays him so he doesnt pay any taxes...we want to do the unmarried partner application but was wondering if that could negatively affect the application....we've got bills and tenancy agreement for the 23 months...please help

I'm sorry I just looked at that website and it doesnt answer my question....which is my boyfriend receives cash in hand by his family for looking after his mom...and I wanted to know if that would adversely affect our application that he's wages are not taxed...? But he has sufficient money to take care of us and we've got all the bills and tenancy agreement for the 2 years... Please help as this is urgent..

Personally, I think he'll need to show bank statement AND payslips. Also for UPV you need 24 months, not 23, I think a week or two short has been swung before but a full month is too much I think, rules are strictly applied with UPV.
