Blue Registration Certificate for Romanian Family Members

Post by Jersey » Tue Dec 23, 2008 11:29 am

Hi

I'm a Romanian with a Blue Registration Certificate (no restrictions on work in the UK) and I'm exempt from work authorisation . My question is, I understood my sister needs to apply on a BR1 form as she is a family member. Will she get as well the Blue Registration Certificate?

according to the guidance notes she is entitled:
"A2 family members of an exempt applicant
21. Bulgarian and Romanian family members of a Bulgarian or Romanian national who is exempt in their own right from work authorisation requirements are entitled to be issued with a blue registration certificate confirming that they are also exempt from those requirements. Applications on this basis should be submitted on form BR1."

can someone confirm it here?

Another question regarding a reply I got from UKBA by email:

"For extended family, such as siblings and parents you are required to prove that there is a genuine dependency that exists between you. Normally, we
would expect to see evidence that you have been residing together for at
least the last 2 years."

My question therefore is, how can I show evidence that we indeed lived all the family together in the same place?

yes, in the end my sister applied separately as a highly skilled and was successful. That's because it was easier for her to do so then to apply as my dependent.

If you want to prove dependency of your sister you would need to show them at least 6 months of bank statements who shows you transfered mone to her, as well as your pay slips, and any financial evidence that can show you support her (everything from the country of your origin). From the UK you can show them your tennancy agreement and say that she lives with you and you pay for all the bills, it would be sufficient.
