When did you originally apply? It's difficult to give waterproof timelines since, frankly, INIS works neither to timelines nor respects any chronological sequence. You might as well expect complete certainty from a crapshoot. For instance, many of the people posting here applied back in 2006 and have been left wondering how long their applications are going to continue languishing with outside agencies.Espero wrote:Hi people,
I'm new to this board.
I was talking to INIS today (spouse of Irish citizen) and they told me that my application is open and being processed at an early stage though![]()
nothing sent to Gardai or SW. do you know how long it takes from "early stage of processing" to being sent to the above? also how long does it normally take at Gardai and SW?
They probably managed to get tea intravenously through a continuous drip. That way they can be productive while at the same time taking the much needed tea.tom4 wrote:Wow!![]()

(Did they shorten the tea breaks or was there just a good round of 4r$e-kicking?)
No sign of mine yet though.
Nop. It wouldn't make any difference at all to your naturalisation application. I asked this to INIS and they told me the naturalisation process and the "without condition as to time" process are completely separate and independent of each other. They do not conflict with each other and they do not help each other out.IrlNational2009 wrote: [...]
Just a quick Qs to all. I was just wondering if getting the indefinite residency (stamp 5/6) would speed-up things?
LP - Thanks for the update. I applied in Mid 2006 and have already got LTR, so I think there is no point going for indefinite and also by looking at so many people got approval today our turn will come soon...hope soLuasPassenger wrote:Nop. Thanks guys for the kind words. Today is really a beautiful day. It is even sunny and warm!nanette wrote:LuasPassenger,
The cynics said this day will never come. Yes it came.
A ragtag band of foreigners declaring their rights (and privileges) to be Irish based on rules set, yes you've become one of them.
You've struggled for what did not seem possible before, that is what Hope is.
Keep us in your heart and may that same Hope lights our path too.
I just want to be Irish, I don't want a privilege.
That is what Hope is...
