Plese help if possible.
3 years ago, Ms A came to Uk on a tourist visa. She had her return air ticket and had in mind to leave UK within 6 months.Unfortunately she was seriously ill and had to defer her departure. Home office was informed but they wrote back saying that " the application for INDEFINITE STAY" was being rejected. Surprise , surprise, never was the application made to indefinte stay. All was being done was to inform them of the mitigating circumstances.Wrote back to Home office and by that time Ms A was ready to leave Uk . Upon departure, immigration officer questioned her overstay and she informed them of what had happened. Well, something was noted by the officer.
One year later, Ms A comes to Uk again with all proper documentation for a short visitor visit /tourist visa. Accomodation n food , all provided by family here. Since new passports were being issued in her home country to add biometrics, she had 2 passports in her possesion. Both genuine. Officer refused her entry . Not too clear about the reason for refusal::
2 passports?
Due to previous overstay?
or general suspicion?
She was sent back to her country the next day. She was not even able to meet her family waiting for her at the airport.
Now , after 1.5 years, she was to visit her grand child for a few weeks but not too sure on what is going to happen? any idea?
Ms A is an old lady 60 yrs, her family is in the uk and she likes to visit them regurlary.
