Merriage certificate ..please reply me

Post by adil2009 » Tue Jun 02, 2009 9:03 am

Hello All,

I really need your kind advice.I am goin to sponsor my mother to come here on visit visa. As per requirement she needs to submit her merriage certificate.
The problem is she has not got original merriage certificate ,she just has the photo copy.Because she got merriage long long time ago and she misplaced the original certificate.

Can it possible for her to submitt photo copy of her merriage certificate for visit visa?

Hope to hear from you guys soon. Thanks

It is not a requirement to produce a marriage certificate for a visitors visa.

Who is asking that you present your mums marriage certificate with her application for a visa?

If your mum is an elderly lady and got married over 40 yrs ago, it is unlikely that they will have registered their marriage at the time espicially if you come from rural part of the Indian subcontient.

I wouldn't worry much about the marriage certificate, but more about house/land title deeds, bank.savings etc as well as other things you can show that she will return back home after the visit
