Workpermit dependent to tier 1

Greetings,

I qualify for tier 1 visa genral .. Is it possible to switch from work permit dependent visa to tier 1 within the UK

I have already gone through this document...It does show work permit holder ... not work work permit dependent...
wanted to confirm....

Hi vinu007,
No,you cannot switch from work permit dependent visa to tier 1 within the UK. you have to go back to your home country and apply from there.
i was on work permit dependant visa too. recently got my tier 1 visa, applied from india.
