As a citizen of NZ you won't need a visa as a visitor. But technically you are not a visitor and will enter as the partner of a EU citizen. If you were married you would simply show your marriage certificate as proof when the IO asks you. You may still be able to enter as visitor but I am not sure if the IO would be fine you not having a return ticket. I do not know if France would accept the NZ civil union as equivalent to their own. You best check with the embassy. Once in France you will have to register with the local commune and apply for a residence card.adamski wrote:Would Fran require a visa, if so, which one? A Schengen? 3 month visitor? Work Visa?
Erm, I don't quite understand that. I've only asked once. What do you mean?Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:adamski, Why are you posting this question again?
HiDirective/2004/38/EC wrote:Maybe you can provide a little more context. Are you both in France right now? Do you have a job? Does your partner have a job or have somebody who wants to hire her?
If you are working, your partner can immiedately apply for a Residence Card. It is your work or self sufficiency that is key.
